About the
Committee

The Ware County Bicentennial committee is comprised of several civic-minded and passionate folks with various backgrounds. We've decided to put our passions and talents together to make this happen.

HOW ABOUT A HISTORY LESSON?

Join us for a brief timeline of Ware County and Waycross' history!

It's not entirely comprehensive, but if we added every single detail about our history... you'd be reading until the tricentennial.

If you'd like to know more, then you'll have to join us in December!

Here's the plan.

Throughout the next few months, the Ware County Bicentennial committee will be hosting several events such as the Jail & Bail on March 13th and the Past and Present Pageant on June 22nd along with many more fun and exciting activities and events leading up to the three-day celebration in December.

Ware County's actual birthday is on December 15th, but our celebration won't be restricted to that day alone; there's simply too much fun to be had for one day.

We will start our celebration on Friday December 13th,
and continue through the weekend on both December 14th and December 15th.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay updated on what we're planning!
